Just days before Christmas, Dotti received a call from photographer and philanthropist Scott Mead, asking for some expert PR to help his most recent project take off.

The project, Above the Clouds, is based on a series of photographs of the same name, taken through plane windows and capturing the physical, emotional and philosophical wonder of air travel with images of incredible landscapes – from the shadows of the French Alps to a sunset in the Andes to plateaus in New Mexico.  All proceeds raised from print sales and the accompanying book are donated to Great Ormond Street Children’s Charity in London, where one of Mead’s children was cured of a life-threatening illness many years ago.

With the exhibition opening on 9 January at renowned photography gallery, Hamiltons, the team had a lead time of just a few days to turn around a high profile publicity campaign to promote the exhibition and raise Scott’s profile ahead of activity later in the year.

We were thrilled to secure The Guardian’s centre page Eyewitness spread (one of the last in the paper’s old format) and online picture gallery, interviews with Scott in the London Evening Standard and on BBC Radio London Robert Elms Show, as well as exhibition previews in Condé Nast Traveller, Photography News and Photomonitor. Do also look out for the April issue of Spear’s magazine which will feature ‘The Giver and the Gift’ profile interview with Scott.

Four Colman Getty is now working with Scott to plan activity later in the year, including a series of international book launches and further profile for the work of Great Ormond Street Hospital.
