Four Culture has been working with author and managing director of Times Literary Supplement James MacManus, who launched his latest novel Ike and Kay at Daunt Books on Marylebone High Street this month.

Ike and Kay is a vivid reimagining of General Eisenhower and Kay Summersby’s infamous love affair in London during World War II. The pair met when Cork-born Kay was assigned as his driver while he was in London, and their relationship developed throughout the war years as an open secret at the heart of allied command.

As well as leading a social media campaign, we secured coverage in a range of titles with fascinating written pieces by James were featured in The Sunday Times and Daily Mail, as well as the Irish Independent due to Kay’s Irish roots. James also appeared on Monocle Radio and will be a guest on the BBC Radio London’s Robert Elms show w/c 2 April, and will appear at Chiswick Book Festival later in the year.
