The summer festival season is nearly upon us and Four Culture has been getting in the mood with the programme announcement of the Man Booker 50 Festival.
The flagship event of the year-long 50th anniversary celebrations, the festival celebrates 50 years of the finest fiction and introduces new audiences to its winning, shortlisted and longlisted authors through a programme of panels, discussions and masterclasses at Southbank Centre from 6-8 July 2018.
A special one-off festival, it includes 18 panels and discussions featuring authors from the prize’s 50 year history; a star-studded line up to announce the one-off Golden Man Booker Prize; special broadcasts on BBC Four, BBC Radio 3 Free Thinking and BBC World Book Club; and seven masterclasses offering insights into the world of publishing.
Leading the media and social media campaign, the announcement was featured in the Evening Standard, The Guardian and Daily Mail, as well as trade publications The Bookseller and BookBrunch. On social media, the announcement has reached over 23,000 and 5,000 people on Twitter and Facebook respectively.
