We ran the media relations campaign for the opening of the new Library of Birmingham, Europe’s largest public library.               


Our brief was to raise local, regional and national and awareness in the lead up to the opening, position it as a major new cultural destination of international importance and create a headline-grabbing opening moment. 

Our pre-awareness campaign and formal opening by education activist Malala Yousafzai created headlines and comment around the world with a media reach of over a billion people.  And in just 100 days, a million people visited this iconic and now award-winning new building.

The media coverage was just amazing, it has certainly been worldwide … and we got the best possible response from the people of the city.
