Four Colman Getty has worked on four editions of the British Ceramics Biennial.
The event and the PR coverage has contributed to a cultural regeneration of the area. Key objectives were to drive visitors to British Ceramics Biennial and to raise the profile of Stoke-on-Trent as the home of British ceramics.
Coverage included features and previews in consumer titles such as Homes & Antiques and The World of Interiors; national travel features on Stoke-on-Trent in the Daily Telegraph and Times; comment pieces on the ceramics industry in New Statesman and Apollo; interviews with participating artists on BBC World Service; pieces on the ‘ceramics renaissance’ in Daily Telegraph, The Observer & BBC R4 Front Row.
The Biennial's evaluation shows that visitors, particularly from outside the city, cited national media coverage as the primary reason for their visit.
